Our mission
To develop the unique potential of every child, through education, mentoring, vocational training, leadership, child protection and community development.
About us
The Children's Unity Foundation (CUF) is an independent, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit non-governmental organisation working across Africa for education, mentoring, vocational training, leadership, child protection and community development.
To develop the unique potential of every child, through education, mentoring, vocational training, leadership, child protection and community development.
A world where a child's social or geographic background no longer determines their future, and where every community has the means to support its young people.
Our values
We work with families, never anonymous beneficiaries. Everyone takes part in the decisions that concern them.
Our teams live where they work. Programs are built with communities, not from a distant office.
Every euro received is tracked and published in our annual report. Donors know exactly what their support funds.
We commit for years, not for one-off operations. Real impact is measured across a full school career.
Our story
Convinced that every child holds a unique potential that deserves to be developed, the founding members created the non-governmental organisation Children's Unity Foundation (CUF). The organisation works for education, mentoring, vocational training, leadership, child protection and community development across Africa.
Our status
The Foundation is independent, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit. These four principles ensure that the child's best interest remains the only criterion behind our decisions.
No outside interest dictates our priorities: our programs answer needs observed in the field.
The foundation backs no party and no candidate, and accepts no funding with a political purpose.
We support all children regardless of religion, and we carry out no proselytising of any kind.
No profit is distributed: every resource is reinvested into the programs.
The team
A small team at headquarters, coordinators in every country, and hundreds of volunteers in the field.
